History and detailed experience in networking including Cisco, Linux, and Windows server managment

While on contract for Darden I coordinated KDS remote install with onsite technicians for over 360 different Longhorn restaurant locations. Reviewed and confirmed system placements to comply with restaurant code requirements. Responsible for troubleshooting and testing all systems for proper functionality and remote connectivity including switch/router configuration and IP assignments. Logged any vendor issues or missing equipment. Received PO’s and invoices for all project related purchases into Oracle DB.

For NMCI I ensured Department of Defense Directive 8570.01-M security standards compliance was met on all networked equipment. I also worked extensively with USN, USMC personnel to resolve both Classified and Unclassified networking related issues. I was responsible for monitoring, operating and maintaining hardware, software, and networks for computing platforms. Configured, assembled and installed laptops, workstations and peripheral equipment. Performed first line support for service interruptions such as printer issues, power outages, wiring problems, and malfunctioning servers.

During my time with Adacel I lead a team of 10 help desk support personnel. Helped implement new policies and procedures. Assisted FAA and Military with Linux based simulation software issues. Conducted annual telecoms and site visits with customers. Confirmed product equipment shipment and delivery. Submitted monthly ticket and issue reports. Reviewed ticket entries in ticketing system.

At Coleman Technologies I was responsible for monitoring and maintaining large scale corporate networks worldwide and guaranteeing network connectivity. I was a part of the team which built and configured Linux servers running CentOS to deploy onto various customers networks. These servers connected via a Linux Vtun as a point to point connection back to our main server in order for me to monitor and maintain connectivity to network devices such as Cisco routers and switches, Windows or Linux servers, Cisco Call manager and Unity deployments and many others. I was directly responsible for performing circuit tests on T1 connections and contacting various carriers in order to repair NIU issues or correct CSU issues. I also provided support for customers who needed configuration modifications, or configuration of new Cisco equipment for their network. If a hardware problem was found for a customer holding a smartnet contract with Cisco it was my responsibility to contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to order replacement parts and guarantee delivery of those parts within the time stated on the customers contract.

I was responsible for providing technical support for Seminole Community College faculty, staff, and students. I also maintained network connectivity and access to databases and servers using virtual network connection software such as VNC and Remote Desktop to diagnose network and software failures on office computers. I installed and maintained servers for inventory scanners, Nagios network monitor server, Heat trouble ticket system, and assisted in the maintenance of numerous Linux servers when issues arose. In addition I monitored network traffic for viruses and suspicious network activity via server connected to span port running Wireshark packet capturing software. I also assisted with the creation of “Task Integration Management” software for college technical support requests. I have rebuild laptops and workstations and assisted in the tracking, discovery and repossession of stolen laptops.
